ET-Cycle F1000 Series Review

Constructed with a folding aluminum step-through frame, the ET-Cycle is designed with rider comfort in mind, especially at the hand and saddle contact points. Its powerful 48V motor delivers the torque needed to reach cruising speed quickly and effortlessly. The Et Cycle proved to be an excellent little commuter, perfect for quick shopping trips and errands that would otherwise have had me reaching for the car. I found myself eagerly choosing the e-bike whenever possible.

Focusing on the motor, the Das-Kit 48V system offers the Australian road-legal maximum of 250 watts of motor assistance, helping you pedal up to 25 km/h. Beyond this speed, like all road-legal e-bikes, the motor ceases to provide further assistance.

The motor is activated by a sensor that detects pedaling, but there's about a one-second delay before it engages. This lag requires some adjustment, particularly when maneuvering this heavy bike through tight turns or when needing to cross busy roads quickly.

For added convenience, there's a handlebar-mounted "walk" switch that instantly propels the bike to about 5-8 km/h. From there, you can start pedaling and get back on your way. This feature is designed to make walking alongside the 34-kilogram bike effortless, as it can propel itself at low speeds.
